EPS7530 M & A for Entrepreneurs

This course examines how founders and business leaders in middle-market companies ($50M–$500M EV) plan and execute acquisitions and divestitures. It equips students with practical skills relevant to careers in middle-market businesses, consulting firms, or larger corporate roles where they may lead or support the purchase or sale of a division, product line, or entire company. Students will gain a working familiarity with the full M&A process from both the financial and strategic buyer perspectives. The course also explores alternatives to traditional M&A including joint ventures, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
Prerequisites: Students are strongly encouraged to have completed Private Equity, Investment Banking, Accounting or Entrepreneurial Finance prior to enrolling in this class.
